Every year, the Industrie- und Handelsclub Ostwestfalen-Lippe e. V. (IHC) awards the "International Partnership Programme (IPP)" sponsorship prize. This year, the IPP prize was awarded to Paderborn student Corinna Pietsch, who was nominated by Prof Dr Martin Schneider. Pietsch particularly impressed with her outstanding academic achievements and her extraordinary commitment during her studies. In a multi-stage selection process, she impressed, among other things, with a presentation on the topic of "AI as a way out of the economic downturn - from a national and international perspective", for which she was only allowed to draw on her existing knowledge.
Corinna Pietsch is currently studying Management in her fourth Master's semester at Paderborn University. She also completed her Bachelor's degree in International Business Studies in Paderborn. In addition to her studies, she works at the faculty's two marketing chairs and is a volunteer for the association "Smile for Children e. V.". Pietsch sees winning the IPP Award above all as an opportunity: "The IPP Award is a great opportunity for me to gain professional experience at an international level and to utilise my knowledge in a targeted manner. I am looking forward to gaining valuable insights into a global company and developing my skills in a new environment. The support of the IHC and the network it opens up are an enormous enrichment for me and, above all, ideal for the start of my professional future. I am looking forward to the experiences to come and am delighted to be able to follow this path."
The International Partnership Programme (IPP) is designed to give high-achieving business students the opportunity to gain important skills during a three-month internship abroad that will prepare them for life as future managers. The programme is offered in cooperation with Bielefeld University, Paderborn University, Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences. The students are nominated by the universities themselves and then go through a multi-stage selection process.
