Economics in Paderborn
With around 4,000 students and 200 researchers - united in six departments - we are one of the largest faculties of economics in Germany. With a variety of perspectives, we want to rethink the economy and society together and contribute to a sustainable, digitally networked and fair society.

We offer diversity in business studies
For a future in which we enjoy living and working, we need new economic thinking in all areas. We need digitization experts, number crunchers, pioneers, managers, globalization strategists, teachers and inventors. As one of the largest economics departments in Germany, we can think and teach economics in many different ways. We offer both generalist and specialized economics degree programs. Regulation and transparency, work in digitalization, modern and innovative value generation, dealing with data, shaping education and training, sustainability - in the research focus areas of our faculty, we address the current challenges of our society. Our researchers are united by the goal of understanding and helping to shape an increasingly complex, digitized and networked world.
Focus on sustainability
Our actions are geared towards sustainability in order to fulfil our global responsibility and the sustainable shaping of society, intergenerational justice and the preservation of natural resources. The topic of sustainability is also constantly integrated into our degree programmes.
