Reflecting, innovating and shaping together

Teaching, research and transfer are based on a constant dialogue between all members of our faculty, Paderborn University and society. We move the world through this dialogue, which is based on mutual appreciation. We take the time to engage in dialogue because it requires a willingness to listen and get involved as well as a basic trust in the abilities and goodwill of all those involved in the exchange. We take responsibility for starting dialogues, engaging in dialogue and inviting dialogue beyond the Faculty, especially with regard to the transformation of the economy and society. We are involved wherever social dialogues take place.

Reflecting together in our transfer formats

Our academics engage in regular dialogue both within and outside of our university. In addition to recurring events, our scientists are always thinking up exciting event formats to promote dialogue about science with society.

Creating connections Answers

For Paderborn University, transfer means getting innovations off the ground through visionary ideas, intensive exchange and the will to create. We therefore promote the transfer of knowledge, technologies and insights between the university, business, politics, society and culture.

Innovating together in our cooperation projects

By focussing on modern research topics, we are always attractive for research contracts and research collaborations. The combination of highly topical subjects and excellent methodological and technical expertise characterises the Faculty's way of working. Our clients include partners from the business world as well as from the public field.

Shaping together through social commitment

Our faculty members are involved where social dialogue takes place. They are members of high-ranking committees, are involved in regional and national networks and shape the future of politics, schools and society through their expert opinions, statements and advice. With these transfer activities, we pursue our mission statement "Excellence, relevance and responsibility in education and science."
