Opinions, interests and wishes are in demand: the Chair of Information Systems, in particular Business Information Systems, at Paderborn University is conducting a survey to improve the visitor experience in the cultural sector. As part of the "Datenraum Kultur" project, the visitor survey, led by Prof Dr Daniel Beverungen, is dedicated to aspects that can create a positive or negative experience. "Data Space Culture" is part of the German government's digital strategy and is sponsored by Claudia Roth, Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
Participants have until 31 August to share their experiences and actively help shape the future of the cultural and creative landscape.
In addition to a general interest in personal cultural experiences, the questions to be answered include: What is important to visitors at cultural events? What aspects move or touch them in particular? What do they think can be done to counteract dwindling attendance figures? In the survey, culture is to be understood in a broad sense - from traditional theatre visits to festivals and sporting events.
The aim of the survey is to record and understand the experiences of cultural visits in order to get to know the wishes, interests and inspirations of the audience in such a way that the visitor experience can be optimised.
