The Business Process Management (BPM) Winter School 2024 brought lecturers and students to Vaduz in Liechtenstein for a joint exchange from 15 to 19 January. For the first time, Paderborn University received Erasmus+ funding to support the students.
Unique opportunity for students and lecturers
Prof. Dr Beverungen and Dr Bartelheimer presented advanced topics in business process management together with excellent researchers from the universities of Münster, Dortmund, Nuremberg, Seville and Utrecht. Seven students from Paderborn, among others, were able to benefit from the professional and personal exchange against an Alpine backdrop. The event offered a unique opportunity for lecturers and students to network with leading researchers in the field and gain the latest insights in the fields of organisational routines, process mining and business rules. Accompanying activities such as sledging in the mountains and a joint schnitzel meal in the Schattenburg contributed to the fact that the BPM Winter School not only offered professional exchange, but also an inspiring and social atmosphere.
The BPM Winter School is organised as part of the European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS), an international research network in business informatics. As part of the BPM Winter School, students take part in in-depth lectures and exercises in the field of BPM. The seminar is rounded off by discussions with leading international researchers, interactive exercise formats and social events, depending on the respective event schedule.
