On 12 October, Sabine Hoffmann and moderator Nicole Reckmann will be offering an introductory workshop on ArbeiterKind.de in Paderborn. ArbeiterKind.de encourages pupils from families without university experience to be the first in their family to study. Volunteers are involved in 80 local ArbeiterKind.de groups across Germany to inform pupils about the possibility of studying and to support them on their journey from starting university to successfully completing their studies and starting a career. Most of those involved are students or first-generation academics themselves and report on their own experiences of their educational advancement and thus encourage them as personal role models.
In the workshop, you will receive all the information you need about getting involved with ArbeiterKind.de and we will take a look at your educational biography. You will also get to know other committed people and can network in the region. The aim is to further strengthen and network first-time academics in the OWL region. So feel free to pass on the information to everyone in the area!
