Students from Paderborn University present their projects at the Excellence Forum 2026
From waves of refugees to athletic training and athlete entrepreneurship to zombie companies: participants in the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics’ Excellence Programme are tackling a wide range of issues. At the Excellence Forum 2026, they presented their research projects and gained insights into the work of their fellow students.
The Excellence Programme is aimed at particularly high-achieving and committed students within the faculty. Over a period of several months, they develop their own research project and work on it under the academic supervision of the participating professors. The project work is complemented by an accompanying seminar programme on academic research and writing, led by Prof. Dr H.-Hugo Kremer and Sarah Schotten.
This year’s Excellence Forum focused on academic exchange. In a poster presentation, the current participants presented their research projects and discussed initial findings with professors, staff and students from the faculty. The forum offered them the opportunity to gather valuable feedback, gain new perspectives and further develop their research projects.
At the same time, last year’s graduates presented the results of their completed projects. In this way, the Excellence Forum combines two key objectives: it highlights the diversity of student research and creates a space for exchange between the programme cohorts.
During the event, Prof. Dr H.-Hugo Kremer, Professor of Business and Vocational Education and Programme Coordinator, and Prof. Dr Jens Müller, Dean of the faculty, recognised the participants’ achievements and presented them with their certificates.
“With the Excellence Programme, we are creating a space and a framework in which students can experience research at an early stage, pursue their own ideas and tackle academic questions with curiosity and independence,” emphasised Prof. Kremer. The high level of interest in the programme demonstrates just how motivated the students are and what great potential they possess. Through the Excellence Forum, the faculty recognises this commitment whilst also fostering academic dialogue within the field of Business Administration and Economics.
