Germany Scholarship for Master's student Felix Sebastian Mörchel

 |  Auszeichnungen

This year, the Paderborn University Society, in cooperation with the OWL Study Fund Foundation, has awarded a Deutschlandstipendium scholarship to Felix Sebastian Mörchel, a Master's student at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics. The generous funding of 300 euros per month for two semesters from the winter semester 2024/2025 will enable him to focus more on his management studies.

Born in Detmold, he made a conscious decision to study in his home region of East Westphalia-Lippe. In 2023, he first completed his Bachelor's degree in Economics at Paderborn University and then began a Master's degree in Management, specialising in marketing and sustainability. He came into contact with business at a young age through his grandfather's self-employment. The next "logical steps" for him were his commercially orientated A-levels at Detmold Vocational College with advanced courses in mathematics and business studies and his business studies in Paderborn.

During his Master's degree, Sebastian Mörchel also discovered his interest in sustainability. He has therefore been involved in the sustainability initiative "oikos Paderborn" on a voluntary basis for almost two years. He is now its chairman. Mörchel wants to take responsibility for his actions and make a difference in the world. During his voluntary work, he also learns some things that are not necessarily taught during his studies, such as project organisation or practical leadership skills.

The Paderborn University Society and the OWL Study Fund Foundation have been committed to supporting outstanding students like Felix Sebastian Mörchel for many years.
