Registrations possible until 2 June
How can communication help to increase social acceptance of green change? What ways are there to communicate complex scientific findings and research results, e.g. on transport and sustainable mobility? How can behavioural changes be sponsored in the process? These and other questions will be the focus of the event "Communicating Green Transitions" from 24 to 26 June at the Start-up Campus OWL in Paderborn. Experts from research and education, business and industry, public administration, politics and civil society will come together to discuss a wide range of perspectives. The event will be held in English. Registration is possible until 2 June. Interested parties can find the full programme and registration form on the event website.
CoLab events are held regularly as part of the COLOURS university alliance, in which Paderborn University cooperates with eight European partner universities. Researchers and stakeholders from the respective European regions work on current social challenges in an interdisciplinary manner. The aim is to jointly develop viable solutions. From 24 to 26 June, the focus will be on effective sustainability communication. Experts from various fields will provide impetus in panel discussions and lectures. Participants will then develop new ideas, possibilities and scenarios in workshops and field studies in order to facilitate a target group-orientated exchange of information and create greater acceptance of the complex issue of sustainability.
"COLOURS Week" with various event formats in Paderborn
The CoLab "Communicating Green Transitions" is part of the "COLOURS Week" in Paderborn. As part of this, the public engagement event "Paderborn in transition - shaping the city of tomorrow together" will also take place on Tuesday, 24 June from 4 pm. Interested parties are also invited to attend, registration is possible via the link above. The focus is on the question of how the city can become a "smart city" in the coming years. A student hackathon is also planned during the week of the event under the motto "Shape your City".
University alliance "COLOURS"
In addition to Paderborn University, the COLOURS university alliance includes the University of Le Mans (France), the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain), the University of Ferrara (Italy), the University of Kristianstad (Sweden), Jan Dlugosz University (Poland), Josip Jurai Strossmayer University Osijek (Croatia), the University of St Kliment Ohridski Bitola (North Macedonia) and Ventspils University of Applied Sciences (Latvia). Together, they want to strengthen their European network, increase their international visibility and promote mobility within Europe. The aim is also to develop a multidisciplinary approach to jointly tackle current societal challenges. All partners are closely linked to their regional socio-political and economic environment. Therefore, their approach also focuses on strengthening cooperation between the respective regions and regional actors.
