Amendment statutes for current Bachelor's and Master's examination regulations

Amendments to the current examination regulations have been published and will come into force in the winter semester 25/26. The amending statutes were discussed and approved by the various faculty and university committees. The amending statutes were then published under Official Notices on the University Library website.

What is chan­ging?

The following aspects represent significant changes to the respective examination regulations, but do not provide a comprehensive overview!

In the Bachelor's programme, the following key changes will apply from WS 25/26:

  • Three attempts in each module of the assessment phase and thus elimination of the joker regulation in the assessment phase.
  • Abolition of the blocking semester regulation
  • Adaptation of the examination formats to the regulations of the new examination regulations (for degree programmes starting from WS 25/26)
  • Change in the inspection of examination documents

 

In the Master's programme, the following key changes will apply from WS 25/26:

  • Adaptation of the examination formats to the regulations of the new examination regulations (for degree programmes starting from WS 25/26)
  • Three attempts in each compulsory module (only in degree programmes with compulsory modules)

When do the changes apply?

 

The amendment statutes become effective on 1 October 2025 and therefore affect all module and examination registrations from winter semester 25/26.

For the summer semester 2025, the blocking semester regulation (§11, para. 3) and the attempt regulation in the assessment phase (§21, para. 1) will continue to apply in the Bachelor's degree programmes.
