Personal support, modern study conditions and practical teaching: Paderborn University's Business Administration and Economics study programmes achieve numerous top ratings from their students in the latest university ranking by the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE). The study programmes Business Informatics, International Business Studies, Business Administration and Economics as well as Sports Economics were evaluated. The results show that students in Paderborn feel that they are well guided and individually supported - from the start of their studies to preparing for their career entry.

Students were particularly positive about the general study situation. Around three quarters of those surveyed gave it a "very good" or "good" rating. Support at the start of the degree programme also received top marks: Counselling services, tutorials and personal support make it easier for new students in particular to start their studies. The range of courses also received high marks. Students particularly appreciate the fact that they can deepen their individual interests and set their own specialisations. The degree programme therefore not only offers a sound Business Administration and Economics education, but also flexibility for different interests and career paths.

The results for Business Informatics are particularly strong. More than 96 percent of students rate the organisation of studies and the uncomplicated access to classes as "very good" or "good". The digital study conditions are also impressive: almost 90 per cent praise the availability of study-relevant software, databases and AI tools. The digital learning and working environments in which students work with the latest technologies and practical projects also received very good ratings. The intensive support provided by teaching staff was particularly emphasised.

Students also appreciate the professional and practical orientation. Initiatives to promote career entry in particular score significantly better in Business Informatics than the national average. Practical classes and the close exchange with companies give students an early insight into possible career fields.

"The results show that our students particularly appreciate the personal support and modern study conditions. At the same time, the ranking confirms our claim to prepare students for their professional future in the best possible way," emphasises Dean of Studies Professor Dr Claus-Jochen Haake.

The results confirm the high level of student satisfaction and emphasise the attractive study conditions at Paderborn University. The CHE University Ranking is based on a nationwide student survey and is considered an important guide for prospective students in their election of a place to study.
