BPM Winter School 2026 brings students and researchers together in Liechtenstein
How can business processes be analysed, designed and automated? This year's ERCIS Winter School for Advanced Business Process Management (BPM) Topics brought together 24 students from Paderborn University, Münster, Liechtenstein and Seville as well as the Technical University of Dortmund and the Georg August University of Göttingen at the University of Liechtenstein to address these and other questions.
The BPM Winter School is an integral part of the activities of the European Research Centre for Information Systems (ERCIS) and offers an annual platform for intensive exchange between students and internationally renowned researchers. The programme included specialist lectures, interactive workshops and discussion formats on current topics such as process science, dealing with workarounds in the BPM context and practical approaches to process automation.
In addition to the scientific exchange, the focus was also on networking across institutional and national borders. viadee Unternehmensberatung GmbH from Münster was on site to organise a practical seminar with the students. The participants also gained insights into operational practice during an excursion to HILTI in Liechtenstein, which complemented the academic programme.
