The regular Faculty of Business Administration and Economics workshop organised by Paderborn University took place on 3 July 2025 at PARSEC in Paderborn. The event, which has been held for a number of years, promotes the exchange of research work within the entire Faculty of Business Administration and Economics. It is a particularly good opportunity for junior researchers to present their current work and discuss it with members from the various departments of the Faculty, as well as to make internal contacts.
The event met with a great response: 118 faculty members took the opportunity to engage in an intensive exchange of research interests and results. The entire spectrum of economics at the Faculty was represented. Young academics presented a total of 38 research projects in 16 lectures and two poster sessions. The highlight was the keynote speech by Junior Professor Dr Sylvia Hubner-Benz entitled "One Size Fits None: When Culturally Diverse Entrepreneurial Journeys Meet Digital Tech", in which she discussed the challenges and opportunities of digital technologies in entrepreneurship research.
At the end of the faculty research workshop, a vote was held and the prize for the best presentation and the best poster was awarded. Robin Bodenberger received the prize for the best presentation, Katharina Wittek & Marina Köllermeyer received the prize for the best poster.
Dean of Research Prof Dr Tobias Jenert summed up the event as follows: "The Faculty Research Workshop is more than 'just another meeting'. The fact that we manage to exchange, discuss and reflect on our research across departments and disciplines every year shows a spirit of cooperation, appreciation and motivation that we can be proud of."
