Climate Clash, Uni Stage and Nerd Night: Paderborn University invites pupils and prospective students to a pop-up event
From Thursday to Saturday, 26 to 28 October, Paderborn University invites you underground: The "gwlb" (vaulted cellar on Marienplatz) is hosting a pop-up event for school pupils and prospective students over three days. In the "Talk Lounge" from 3 to 6 p.m. (on Saturday from 11 a.m.), they can find out about campus life and the degree programmes, while those interested can try their hand at typical study-related tasks in the "trial course". Subject-specific and study-independent content will be presented in the themed corner. Each day is dedicated to a different future topic: on Thursday afternoon, the "Living Lab" will address questions such as "How do we want to live together as a society in the future? How can life succeed in a colourful society? How can humans and machines best work together? And how do we keep fit?". Anyone interested in new technologies and digital worlds is in the right place at the "Digital Day" on Friday afternoon. A maker space in mini format invites you to experiment.
At the "Climate Clash" on Saturday, experts will be looking for solutions to the climate catastrophe and inviting participants to talk about changes and options for action. Technologies, people, structures - various solutions will be presented that Paderborn University's research is currently working on.
The evening programmes from 7 pm to 10 pm are also highlights. At the "Nerd Night", for example, students have the chance to take part in a Mario Kart tournament, a colourful cultural programme awaits guests at the "Uni Stage" and students can compete against each other in the sixth form quiz.
Pre-registration is required for some events. All information and the entire "Uni Underground" programme can be found at: go.upb.de/uni-underground.
