New CHE ranking for Master's degree programmes published
From support during studies to digital teaching elements and practical orientation - the subject areas of Business Administration and Business Informatics at Paderborn University have once again impressed in the latest ranking for Master's degree programmes published by the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE). Both student judgements and facts about teaching and research were taken into account. In a total of eleven and 13 categories respectively, the Business Administration and Business Informatics degree programmes are in the top group.
In addition to the general study situation, the ranking criteria also include the transition to the Master's programme, support for stays abroad and research orientation in teaching. Paderborn University scores highly in all of the subject areas assessed - in addition to business administration and business informatics, these include industrial engineering and economics - with degrees completed in a reasonable amount of time. Business informatics also stands out with its professors' strong research performance and very good contacts with professional practice.
"The experiences of our Master's students play a central role in the CHE ranking. We are therefore particularly proud that we have once again performed so well. The results show that we can offer them very good study conditions in Paderborn," says a delighted Prof Dr Oliver Müller, Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics.
About the CHE ranking for Master's degree programmes
In the news comparison of Master's programmes, up to 15 different criteria are taken into account, depending on the subject area. The evaluation is presented on a 5-star scale. The students' judgement is compared with facts on research performance, such as research funding per academic or publications per professor. For the subject areas of Information Systems and Industrial Engineering, the intensity of contact with professional practice is also shown. The results are categorised into a top, middle and bottom group.
