Dr Stefan Glas­mach­er is giv­ing two guest lec­tures on the fin­an­cing of start-ups

As part of the lecture “Legal Foundations of Start-ups” led by Prof. Dr David Bartlitz, Dr Stefan Glasmacher (https://www.seitzpartner.de/team/stefan-glasmacher/) will give a guest lecture on the topic “The Financing of Start-up Companies”:

  1. on 17 June 2026, 2–4 pm (c.t.) in H7 and
  2. on 18 June 2026, 11 am–1 pm (c.t.) in H7.

About the speaker:

Dr Stefan Glasmacher advises on M&A, venture capital and start-ups, private equity and general company law. His expertise covers, in particular, domestic and cross-border corporate acquisitions, financing rounds and the drafting of loan agreements. Thanks to his previous work as an arbitrator for the German Football Association (DFB), sports law is also one of his key areas of expertise.

In addition to his legal practice, Stefan Glasmacher is involved in legal education – including as a lecturer at RWTH Aachen University and the University of Cologne – and publishes regularly on topics relating to company law and foreign trade law. He has received numerous awards for his work, including from Handelsblatt and Best Lawyers.

Before joining Seitz, he practised as a solicitor at an internationally active commercial law firm with offices in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main and Chicago. He completed his law degree and PhD at the University of Bonn – both supported by a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation. During his legal clerkship, he gained international experience, including in Cologne, Lima (Peru) and Washington, D.C. (USA).
