The healthcare sector causes 5.2% of Germany's total CO2 emissions (Health Care's Climate Footprint, 2019). Klinikum Bielefeld gem. GmbH recognises its responsibility to do its part to protect the environment. The overarching goal of the sustainability strategy at Klinikum Bielefeld is to promote a culture of sustainability throughout the entire hospital and thus contribute to a significant and sustainable reduction in CO2 emissions.
