JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship (short-term)

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) provides support for a short-term research stay of post-doctoral as well as doctoral researchers at universities and selected research facilities in Japan. In the context of the 'JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship (short-term)' programme researchers of all disciplines may stay abroad one month up to a year. The application for the sponsorship is open until March 31st, 2016, via <link https: www.daad.de ausland studieren stipendium de>DAAD; post-doctoral researchers who plan a duration of stay longer than six months apply separately via the <link https: www.humboldt-foundation.de web jsps-fellowship-postdoc.html>Humboldt Foundation. 

Applicants:

  • Doctoral researchers: Graduation has to be completed within the following two years after the start of the sponsorship.
  • Post-doctoral researchers: Graduation must not be more than six years ago with respect to April 1st of the fiscal year in which the sponsorship started.
