Im Rahmen des Seminars of Economics and Management (SEAM) präsentiert Prof. Dr. Kerstin Pull am 03.11.25 ihre Studie ‘There is no "I" in team, but there is a "ME" in it: how team and task familiarity affect team coordination under performance pressure’, die in Zusammenarbeit mit Dr. Julian Nüßle und Prof. Dr. Philip Yang entstanden ist.
Kerstin Pull ist Inhaberin der Professur Personal und Organisation der Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen.
Anbei der Abstract zur Studie:
‘We analyze how team and task familiarity affect team coordination and how these effects are moderated by performance pressure. We conduct two complementary studies. Study 1 analyzes 12,103 team-in-game observations of the National Basketball Association using fixed-effects regressions. Study 2 extends this analysis through a controlled experiment, manipulating team familiarity, task familiarity, and performance pressure to establish causal effects. We find that both team and task familiarity enhance team coordination. The moderation effects are, however, asymmetric: The positive link of team familiarity on team coordination is strengthened, but the link between task familiarity and team coordination is weakened when performance pressure is high. Besides constructively replicating the results of study 1 in a different setting and causally establishing the links, study 2 also allows us to explore the underlying mechanisms by which performance pressure affects the links between team and task familiarity on the one hand and team coordination on the other.’
Der Vortrag findet von 13-14 Uhr in Raum Q4.245. Interessierte sind zur Teilnahme herzlich eingeladen.
