Two successful doctorates at the chair

The Chair of Organisational Behavior is pleased to announce two successful doctorates in July 2025. Dr Jaroslaw Kornowicz and Dr Jana Gutt successfully defended their doctoral dissertations and thus successfully completed their doctoral projects.

Dr Jaroslaw Kornowicz dedicated his doctoral dissertation to the topic of "Human Integration in AI: Calibrating Trust and Improving Performance in Decision Support Systems." In his work, he investigated how the interaction between humans and artificial intelligence can be optimised through humanisation, the integration of expert knowledge and co-constructive approaches. The aim is to increase trust and accuracy in AI-supported decision support systems.

In her doctoral dissertation entitled "Evaluating Work: Verbal and Numerical Assessments Across Organisational Contexts",Dr. Jana Gutt dealt with the design and impact of performance assessments in an organisational context. In particular, she analysed the role of language, assessment contexts and algorithmic procedures in the creation and interpretation of assessments.

We would like to congratulate both of them on this important milestone and wish them all the best for their future careers!
