Agile teamwork through predictive competence management

The PredicTeams project aims to develop a practice-oriented framework for predictive competence management for agile teams that enables companies to manage the transition to agile teamwork in digital working environments. The specific objectives are:

● Identification and operationalisation of competences for agile teamwork in the context of digital working environments Provision of a database with instruments for measuring relevant competences
● Method for simplifying the process of collecting competence assessments using semantic language analysis
● Methodology for analysing competence profiles
● Show-Case applications for recording competences using semantic text analysis and for analysing competence profiles based on fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis
● Models and methods as well as a guideline for designing predictive competence management and future-oriented team staffing

The objectives are achieved by taking state-of-the-art measurement tools and methods in personnel and organisational research and empirical methodology, developing them further, adapting them for use in companies and testing them using test data. Data on employee competences will be analysed and in some cases newly collected with the aim of significantly reducing dimensions. Exemplary data analyses are to be implemented and evaluated. In addition to identifying the most important competences, the procedure for recording competences is to be radically simplified from a written statement once a year to an ongoing survey using language assessment and text analysis. The planned measures will provide the basis for a time-efficient, state-of-the-art survey and analysis of competences in companies. The methods and models to be developed should enable companies to operate predictive competence management instead of administrative competence management in the future. The project is both practically and scientifically innovative, as predictive HR analytics is much discussed but is still in its infancy.
