The paper "Towards a Trust-aware Item Recommendation System on a Graph Autoencoder with Attention Mechanism" by Elnaz Meydani, Christoph Düsing and Prof. Dr. Matthias Trier from the Chair of Social Computing at the Department for Business Information Systems (Wirtschaftsinformatik) at Paderborn University are nominated for the Best Research-in-Progress Paper Award of the 16th International Conference on Wirtschaftsinformatik 2021 (March 9 - 11, 2021)! In this paper, the authors propose a novel approach to improve recommendation quality based on a user-trust-graph and past item ratings to increase both user satisfaction and loyalty in social media and e-commerce applications.
