TAF Research Seminar, Helena Isidro
On June 15th, 2021 Helena Oliveira Isidro (ISCTE-IUL Business School, Lisbon) will give a presentation at the TAF Research Seminar. The title of the presentation is: "Debt Contracting after Bankrupcy".
Helena holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University, UK. She is Professor of Accounting at ISCTE-IUL Business School in Lisbon. She has previously worked at Cass Business School, an she was a visiting scholar at Sydney University and University of Miami, USA. Her research interests are: international accounting, voluntary disclosure, and financial reporting and capital markets. Helena participates actively in international organizations. She is a member of the management committee of the European Accounting Association, and a member of the academic research network of EFRAG - European Financial Reporting Advisory Group. She coordinates several international research projects and she publishes academic articles in top journals such as European Accounting Review; Journal of Business Finance and Accounting; International Journal of Accounting; and Journal of Business Ethics. She sits in the editorial board of the European Accounting Review, Accounting in Europe, and the International Journal of Accounting. She has own several prestigious awards namely best European PhD thesis in Management, best paper awards in international conferences, and she has been award a Fulbright Research Scholar by the US Government.

Am 15. Juni 2021 hält Helena Oliveira Isidro (ISCTE-IUL Business School, Lisbon) einen Vortrag im Rahmen des TAF Research Seminar. Der Titel der Präsentation lautet: "Debt Cintracting after Bankrupsy".
Helena hat einen Doktortitel in Rechnungswesen und Finanzen von der Lancaster University, UK. Sie ist Professorin für Rechnungswesen an der ISCTE-IUL Business School in Lissabon. Zuvor arbeitete sie an der Cass Business School und war Gastwissenschaftlerin an der Sydney University und der University of Miami, USA. Ihre Forschungsinteressen sind: internationale Rechnungslegung, freiwillige Offenlegung sowie Finanzberichterstattung und Kapitalmärkte. Helena arbeitet aktiv in internationalen Organisationen mit. Sie ist Mitglied des Managementkomitees der European Accounting Association und Mitglied des akademischen Forschungsnetzwerks der EFRAG - European Financial Reporting Advisory Group. Sie koordiniert mehrere internationale Forschungsprojekte und veröffentlicht akademische Artikel in Top-Journalen wie European Accounting Review, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, International Journal of Accounting und Journal of Business Ethics. Sie sitzt im Redaktionsbeirat der European Accounting Review, Accounting in Europe und dem International Journal of Accounting. Sie hat mehrere prestigeträchtige Auszeichnungen erhalten, und zwar für die beste europäische Doktorarbeit im Bereich Management, Auszeichnungen für die besten Beiträge auf internationalen Konferenzen und sie wurde von der US-Regierung als Fulbright-Forschungsstipendiatin ausgezeichnet.
