Last week (on the 25. Sept), I gave a talk at the research seminar at KU Leuven. We had a great talk about my research project “Size Management at Community Banks”, coauthored by Kris Allee (University of Arkansas), Jon Black (University of Melbourne), and Ulf Mohrmann (NHH Bergen). The paper explores how community banks strategically manage their assets to avoid crossing regulatory thresholds which trigger substantial increases in reporting, audit, and governance requirements.
