On April 17 and 18, 2026, the Committee on Business Theory and Policy of the Verein für Socialpolitik will be hosted by Caren Sureth-Sloane, Chair of Business Administration, especially Business Taxation, at the University of Paderborn.

The Committee for the Business Theory and Policy (founded in 1971) is a joint committee of economists and business economists. The relevant topics, especially for the future, include: Flexibility and robustness of supply chains, resilience of companies and economies, sustainable Development Goals, e.g. by addressing the relationship between ageing societies, increasing technological change, the role of corporate human resources and education policies, migration and diversity, information economics aspects, as information and transparency are central topics for business administration, economics and politics and are increasingly important with regard to sustainable development in the broadest sense.

The conference takes place each year at a different location, hosted by one of the committee members.
