On 2 July 2026, Raphael Sahrhage was awarded the PwC-arqus Prize at the arqus Annual Conference 2026 in Ingolstadt. The prize was awarded to a total of six students, including three Bachelor’s students and three Master’s students, and recognises outstanding academic work in the field of business taxation.
Raphael received the award for his bachelor's thesis entitled "Steuerunsicherheit oder Spendendruck – eine experimentelle Analyse der Einführung einer Carbon Tax", which he wrote under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jens Müller. The prize was presented by PwC partner Prof. Dr. Arne Schnitger and Prof. Dr. Robert Ullmann from the University of Augsburg.
Commenting on the award ceremony, Raphael said: “It was a great pleasure to be recognised for my own work and achievements. It was also particularly enriching to gain insights into current research topics and methodological approaches at the various universities within the network.”
