The current steering committee of the SICP—Software Innovation Campus Paderborn—elected Christoph Plass, CEO of UNITY AG based in Büren, as spokesperson at its constituted meeting on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Prof. Dr. Gregor Engels, who is also chairman of the board of the central scientific institution Software Innovation Lab at the University of Paderborn, was appointed deputy chairman. Speakers and deputies represent the SICP externally.
The steering committee is responsible for the operational management and design of the SICP in terms of defined goals, strategy and topic areas as well as the resulting tasks. The steering committee consists of ten people and five of them represent member companies. These are Christoph Plass (spokesman, UNITY AG), Holger Funke (secunet Security Networks AG), Rolf Stübbe (CONTACT Software GmbH), Josef Tillmann (S&N Invent AG) and Jörg Wehling (Atos Information Technology GmbH). The other five members of the SICP Steering Committee are delegated by the University of Paderborn. Currently, these are Prof. Dr. Gregor Engels (deputy speaker), Prof. Dr. Daniel Beverungen, Prof. Dr. Holger Karl, Prof. Dr. Nancy Wünderlich and Dr. Stefan Sauer.
About the SICP
The SICP - Software Innovation Campus Paderborn - is a strategic research and innovation network, where joint projects investigate and develop topics relating to digitalisation as well as software- and data-driven innovations across disciplines and organizations. The focus is on the digital economy, intelligent systems and services, highly networked technical systems, IT security and methods for software and system development. The SICP implements the idea of a joint research campus of science and industry, which will be based on Zukunftsmeile 2 (ZM2) in Paderborn in the future.
