Bachelor and Master Theses

By writing a scientific thesis at the MISOR research group, students show that they are able to work independently on a problem, usually in the field of Operations Research, within a given period of time using scientific methods and to present the results appropriately.

If you are interested in writing a thesis at our reserch group, please first read our Theses Guidelines first.

In principle, you can either apply for an posted topic or submit your own topic proposal, possibly in cooperation with a company. Please note that Prof. Schryen's research group does not take part in the central allocation procedure of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics.

If you would like to write a thesis with us, you can apply directly to us. Please send us a written application consisting of a letter of motivation, a CV and a current transcript of records. If you would like to propose your own topic, please include a brief description of your project (1 page). Further information can be found in the guidelines.
