The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics - Department of Information Systems / Management Information Systems and Operations Research (Prof. Dr. Guido Schryen) - is seeking to fill the following position as soon as possible
ResearchAssistant (pay grade 13 TV-L)
with a total of 100 % of regular working hours.
This is a qualification position within the meaning of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG - German Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act), which serves to promote a doctoral programme in the field of business informatics. The position is to be filled for the duration of the doctoral procedure, depending on the qualification achieved to date, but generally for a period of 3 years. An extension to complete the doctorate may be possible within the time limits of the WissZeitVG.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and realisation of courses (usually 4 SWS) in the subject areas represented by the chair
- Independent processing of problems in business informatics, in particular operations research
- Writing scientific publications for publication in scientific journals and presentation at national and international conferences
- Collaboration in the application for research projects with practice partners and other research groups
- Participation in the academic self-administration of the chair and the faculty

Recruitment requirements:
- Above-average university degree, preferably in the fields of business informatics/operations research, computer science, mathematics, industrial engineering or similar
- Sound knowledge in the field of optimisation and programming
- Very good language skills in German and English (written and spoken)
- High level of commitment, ability to work in a team and independent working style
