The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Paderborn University held its regular Faculty Research Workshop on 9 November this year. The event, which has been held for a number of years now, promotes the exchange of research work within the entire Faculty of Business Administration and Economics. It is a particularly good opportunity for junior researchers to present their current work and discuss it with members from the various departments of the Faculty, as well as to make internal contacts.

The event met with a great response: over 130 faculty members, including 23 professors, took the opportunity to engage in an intensive exchange of research interests and results. The Faculty's entire spectrum of economics was represented with business administration, economics, business informatics and business education. In a total of 11 lectures and the two poster sessions, young academics presented a total of 27 research projects. The final highlight was the methods workshop by Prof. Dr. Kirsten Thommes on the topic of "Measuring Beliefs and Attitudes", in which difficulties were systematically discussed that arise when measuring assessments and attitudes in experimental analyses and beyond.

At the end of the faculty research workshop, a vote was held among those present and the prize for the best presentation was awarded twice to Sarah Kühn and Vicky Tinnefeld and the prize for the best poster was awarded jointly to Felix Johannes Schröder and Anja Isenbort.

Prof Dr Burkhard Hehenkamp, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics, summed up the event as follows: "At the Faculty Research Workshop, we focus intensively on the research activities at our faculty. In addition to the purely scientific exchange in a relaxed atmosphere, the focus is also on establishing contacts within the faculty. The all-day Faculty Research Workshop, which was held at the university for the first time since the pandemic, impressively demonstrated the great interest shown by faculty members in the research activities at the Faculty - even outside their own specialist group. This exchange promotes cooperation between the departments of the Faculty. The concept of our research funding is reflected in the numerous research successes of our faculty: leadership of TRR 266 "Accounting for Transparency", participation in TRR 318 and a large number of externally funded projects, outstanding doctorates, publications in top international journals and very good rankings."
