In acknowledgement of her outstanding scientific achievements, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Caren Sureth-Sloane is awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Bremen. The University's Department of Economics thus honours her special work in the field of business administration.
The Dekan of the Bremen Department of Economics Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jochen Zimmermann explains the decision as follows: "Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Sureth-Sloane has rendered outstanding contributions to the further development of business administration theory, especially in business taxation, and its support by empirical findings. The award also honours her for her contribution to the communication of economic insights to business practice."
