The annual research workshop of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics took place today. This offers young academics in particular the opportunity to present their current work and engage in dialogue with members from all departments of the Faculty.

The speakers included two research associates from the Chair of German and International Business Law, who presented their latest research findings in the poster sessions.

Kerstin Zemlianski presented her research project on the accounting of crypto assets. It deals with the question of exactly what individual crypto assets represent in legal terms and how they are to be recognised according to the rules of the German Commercial Code (HGB).

Niklas Otto's presentation dealt with the topic "The influence of Sustainability in Innovation on Patent Licensing", i.e. the question of whether the degree of sustainability of an innovation influences the licensing of patents in the context of maximising social welfare.

Overall, we gained a very good overview of the research work at the Faculty and also took away new insights for our work.
