While the European business elite goes on a pilgrimage to the Silicon Valley to learn from the creative atmosphere, Google’s innovation Chief Dr. Frederik G. Pferdt comes to Paderborn. Dr. Frederik G. Pferdt, Alumnus of the Faculty of Economics at University of Paderborn, discusses how Google employees are encouraged and motivated to recognize their ideas and make them available to the corporation. What implications does this have for the design of innovations in universities and industry?

In 2011, Frederik G. Pferdt got his PhD with an economics-education topic at the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics. He is Google Chief Innovation Evangelist, co-founder of the innovation cell "The Garage" by Google and Adjunct Professor at the d.school of Stanford University. He is responsible for creativity at Google and trains innovators. With the development of the 'Learning Design: Lab' at University of Paderborn, the economic pedagogue Pferdt was able to successfully start his path in Silicon Valley.
