The members of Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft für Betriebswirtschaft e.V. have elected a new board of executives for the new term 2019 to 2023, who appointed Prof. Dr. Caren Sureth-Sloane as Vice President.
The goal of the non-profit organization located in Cologne and Berlin is to intensify the dialogue between science and business and to answer current research questions of business practice and legislation. At present, 25 working groups with more than 600 experts from science and business develop solutions in business economics. It also organises conferences and congresses, especially the two main events "Schmalenbach-Tagung" and "Deutscher Betriebswirtschafter-Tag".
Caren Sureth-Sloane is looking forward to her new tasks as Vice President: „The Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft should be a meeting point for the finest minds of economy and business administration to identify and anticipate problems, to make them understandable and to develop joined solutions taking society and economy a significant step ahead".
