Welcome
to the pages of the Chair of Statistics and Quantitative Methods in Empirical Economics.
We conduct research primarily on topics in health economics, the economics of education, and the economics of aging. We work empirically and use individual data as well as modern methods of causal analysis. We also teach these methods in our courses.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Research
We do research in the field of applied microeconometrics, especially health economics. Often, however, questions also spill over into neighboring fields such as labor economics, economics of education, public economics, or industrial economics.
Teaching
We offer courses in statistics, (micro-)econometrics and empirical economic research and supervise empirical bachelor and master theses in this field. For more information on our courses, possible theses, the recommended curriculum as well as to exchange programs with international partner universities that we supervise, please visit our teaching page.
