Teaching
We offer courses in statistics, (micro-)econometrics and empirical economic research and supervise empirical bachelor and master theses in this field. Further information about our courses, possible theses and the recommended curriculum can be found below. There you will also find information on the exchange programs we supervise with foreign partner universities.

Bachelor theses should be your own small empirical projects. If you have been assigned to our professorship through the central application procedure, you will get access to a Panda course. There you will find a list of suggested topics, a schedule, and further hints and guidelines. A list of topics for the current semester can be obtained from us upon request (verena.bade[at]uni-paderborn[dot]de).
Minimum requirements for a useful bachelor thesis are knowledge on the level of the modules "Introduction to Econometrics" or "Empirische Wirtschaftsforschung".
Especially own empirical theses take place under close coordination with the respective supervisor.
Master theses should be own small empirical projects in applied microeconometrics from the topics of labor economics, education economics, health economics or social policy in a broader sense. Prior attendance of the lecture "Microeconometrics" is strongly recommended. Ideal candidates will also have taken the seminar "Seminar Microeconometrics".
The selection of topics and the work on the Master's theses take place in close coordination with the respective supervisor.
