For the first time in its history, the DFG is funding a Collaborative Research Center in the area of Business Administration. Launching in July 2019, a team of researchers from the department of Taxation, Accounting and Finance will dedicate the next four years working on this project. Prof. Dr. Caren Sureth-Sloane (the coordinator), Prof. Dr. Michael Ebert, Prof. Dr. Urska Kosi, Thomas Kourouxous, Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Jens Müller, Jun.-Prof. Dr. Regina Ortmann, Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. Sönke Sievers, together with their working groups, feel deeply honored by the DFG’s acknowledgement of their research.
Together with Paderborn University’s researchers, scholars from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, University of Mannheim, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, European School of Management and Technology Berlin, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Goethe University Frankfurt, and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management collaborate on this project.
All in all, a team of over 80 scholars will examine how accounting and taxation affect firm transparency and how regulation and transparency impact our economy and society. This research contributes to building greater confidence in the economy and politics.
