Our mission
In research and teaching, we are committed to ensuring that employees and managers make fair and reasonable decisions, and that they lead and act accordingly. Fair and reasonable means
- Oriented towards the long-term well-being of employers and employees,
- with an image of people who are self-interested (economic) and co-operative (social),
- with the aid of empirical evidence and
- sensitive to the social, technical and institutional context.
Our research
We publish empirical studies in international journals and inform the general public about our findings in anthologies and practical publications.
Our teaching
We would also like to pass on our understanding of the socio-economics of human resources management to our students. In our teaching, we provide insights into the central institutional arrangements that can be used for fair and efficient HR management in the long term. Our courses are research-based and problem-orientated.
You can find out more about the foundations of our research in the textbook "Personalökonomie und Pesonalpolitik. Grundlagen einer evidenzbasierten Praxis" by Martin Schneider, Dieter Sadowki, Bernd Frick & Susanne Warning.
