On November 16, 2019, the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics organised a graduation ceremony for graduates of year 2019. They received their bachelor, master and doctoral degree certificates in a celebratory atmosphere.
The Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Sureth-Sloane greeted the about 225 graduates and their families. She praised the Faculty’s outstanding quality in education and research which is reflected in high placements in various university rankings. Vice President for Teaching, Study and Quality Management, Prof. Dr. Ing. Volker Schöppner complimented the excellent reputation of the Faculty’s study program.
In an interview conducted by the moderator, Dr. Kostja Siefen, Burkhard Peters (PwC) and Sven Westphälinger (KPMG) encouraged the graduates to strive for motivating and challenging jobs which will also bring them joy, and to learn from making mistakes.
In 2019, the „Teaching Award from the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics for Great Commitment in Teaching" was awarded to Jun.-Prof. Regina Ortmann, PhD.
Lisa Kürpick and Norina Poetter, two student representatives, encouraged the graduates to always remember their student-life experiences.
