Prof. Dr. Urska Kosi presented her paper entitled "Green performance through the lens of the EU Taxonomy: Early evidence" at the20th EUFIN & Accounting in Europe Conference at the University of Bristol (UK).
The paper, co-authored with Rui Kolbe, examines compliance with the Regulation based on firm-reported taxonomy data. Early evidence shows that 9% of European firms’ revenue is reported as taxonomy-aligned, while 18% of capital expenditure and 15% of operational expenditure are reported as taxonomy-aligned. The paper also documents weak association between taxonomy-based metrics and ESG ratings. This is not surprising, since the EU Taxonomy Regulation is only in it early implementation phase.
