From 14. - 17.6.2018 Britta Hoyer, member of the Chair of Institutional Economics and Economic Policy, and Nadja Stroh-Maraun, member of the Chair of Microeconomics, took part at the SSCW14, the 14th Meeting of the Society for Social Choice and Welfare, in Seoul.
The conference addresses topics concerning social choice and welfare economics like matching, cooperative game theory or voting. This year keynote speakers were Hans Peters, Tayfun Sönmez and Arunava Sen. In parallel sessions Nadja Stroh-Maraun presented the results of the paper „Disaggregating User Evaluations Using the Shapley-Value“ and Britta Hoyer presented the results of her joint work with Nadja Stroh-Maraun „Matching with Different Student Types“.
Of course there was also time for social activities like sightseeing, a excursion to the DMZ (demilitarized zone) which is the border to North Korea and a conference dinner with some traditional Korean music.
