TRR 266/TAF Research Seminar

On 9 November 2021, Dr. Jochen Pierk (Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands) held a presentation at the TRR 266/TAF Research Seminar with the title "The Role of MNC Executives on Tax Avoidance of Foreign Subsidiaries".

Jochen Pierk obtained his PhD from the Humboldt University of Berlin in 2014. Since 2016 he is an assistant professor at the Erasmus School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam (the Netherlands). In recent years, he has studied the impact of tax systems and tax rule changes on management decisions, as well as managers’ financial reporting discretion. He has published his research in the “Journal of Business Finance and Accounting”, “Accounting and Business Research” and the “Journal of International Business Studies”, among others. In addition, he is a member of the Erasmus Research Institute of Management, field Finance & Accounting.
