At the invitation of the Hungarian Lawyers' Association, Prof Dr Bartlitz gave a lecture in English on the topic of "Electronic Securities" in March 2025. Based on a fundamental analysis of the legal institution of the so-called dematerialised security existing under the Hungarian Civil Code and the Hungarian Capital Market Act, the subject of the lecture is to explore the extent to which the legal institution of the so-called electronic security existing under German law can provide profitable impulses for the further development of Hungarian law. The main focus is on the special form of so-called crypto securities, which are registered in a decentralised manner on blockchain or other DLT, as well as an economic impact assessment.
Further information can be found in the corresponding press release of the Hungarian Lawyers' Association (in Hungarian) and the press release of the Paderborn University. Prof Dr Bartlitz is the author of several articles and commentaries on electronic securities and cryptocurrencies. He lectures on the subject in Germany and abroad, including at the Federation of German Consumer Organisations.
