Professor Mirbabaie addresses in a recent publication the usage of AI in disease diagnoses. The diagnosis of diseases is decisive for planning proper treatment and ensuring the well-being of patients. Since the interpretation of medical information is a complex and cognitively demanding task, the application of artificial intelligence can improve the level of diagnostic accuracy and efficiency. The integration of AI into existing technical infrastructure also accelerates the identification of relevant medical data from multiple sources which are tailored to the needs of the patient and the treatment process.
