AMCIS 2021.

We are pleased to announce that Professor Mirbabaie has published a paper at the twenty-seventh Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) 2021.

The paper, "The Role of Parasocial Interactions for Podcast Backchannel Response", which was written in collaboration with Julian Marx, Alfred Benedikt Brendel and Kevin Zander, explores the link between parasocial interaction and speech-based information delivery via podcasts. For this purpose, a between-subjects design experiment was conducted, which showed that the speaker's sharing of personal information, thoughts, and feelings has a positive impact on the intensity of parasocial interaction.
