Analysis and improvement of the prototype development process
Project partner: Hucke AG
Project manager: Markus Toschläger
Project duration: 01.01.1998 - 31.12.1998
The subject of this project was the analysis and improvement of the prototype development process of a textile-processing enterprise with a conversion of approx. 1 billion DM to the largest German textile industry. This industry is increasingly characterized by enormous competition pressure and rising complexity of in-plant operational sequence. In particular, the latter shows up in the prototype development, i.e. to process offshore to the real clothes production between design development and model presentation before the majority customer. By extensive documentation and several visits of the project participants in the production plant during the Ist analysis phase turned out that the strong interweaving of parallel expiries led mainly in the paper-based prototype development of our project partner above all to high downtimes and communication trouble.
