The emphasis of the project promoted by the German research council (DFG) is appropriate in the application of quantitative methods on integrated planning in the flight, and bus traffic control. Production planning and control in the OEPV are divided into several hierarchical planning stages due to the mathematical complexity. During this research project the potential of integrated planning models and their solvability is to be improved by new modelling and accurately optimal solution methods, in particular mix-integral programming. Particularly substantial progress promises (among other things) the extension of the Optimierers MOPS®, which is developed mainly with the co-operation partner in FU Berlin.
