Modulbeschreibung:
While Application development for Mobile devices goes back at least 10 years, there has been exponential growth in mobile application development since the iPhone AppStore opened in July, 2008. With Android currently powering hundreds of millions of mobile devices in more than 190 countries around the world, it has ushered into the era of innovative Business Apps.
With advancement in Mobile Apps and B.I. (Business Intelligence) tools, the Mobile Business Intelligence has assumed special significance. Large numbers of companies are undertaking Mobile BI owing to market pressures such as the need for higher efficiency in business processes, improvement in employee productivity, better and faster decision making, better customer service, and delivery of real-time bi-directional data access to make decisions anytime and anywhere. But despite the apparent advantages of mobile information delivery, Mobile BI is still in the ‘early adopter’ phase and yet to completely integrate with emerging trends in Digital Marketing.
The proposed course aims at exploring the opportunity and challenges involved, owing to introduction of "Mobility" in "Business Intelligence" arena alongwith emergence of innovative Mobile Apps. There are various issues confronting the development of Quality Business Apps in general and integration of BI approaches with Mobile Apps in particular. The proposed Mini course will have modules namely; ‘Data Mining and Business Analytic approaches’, and ‘Mobile Influences in Business intelligence’. The Mini course will have Class Room teachings ( with Slides of each module given to the students), Case Study discussions (with group of students presenting the Business cases) and Quiz/Assignment for the issues associated to Mobile Software with special reference to BI applications. The proposed Summer Course will encourage students to think and propose innovative applicationss related to Mobile Business Apps alongwith various issues related to Digital Marketing and Data Mining approaches used.
