Study semester abroad

Information for outgoing students

If you are planning a semester abroad and would like to have your IBS language courses recognised, you will need a learning agreement from the IBS Languages department BEFORE you go abroad. The responsible members of staff are:

Courses may be language courses that correspond to the content of IBS language courses and are taught at the appropriate proficiency level. In some cases we will also accept business and economics courses that are taught using the language in question as the medium of study (e.g. a marketing course that is taught in Spanish). It is important to note that business and economics courses taught in the foreign language must involve active use of the language – e.g. presentations, case study analysis, academic writing or similar. We will not accept courses that are far removed from IBS content, that only involve passive use of the language or that are taught in other languages. Please bring a complete description of the course(s) you would like to have recognised to the relevant member of staff’s office hour, including information about the workload, ects points and language level (if relevant). You must also bring along a copy of the Learning Agreement form, which you can download here.

Information for returning students

Students returning from study abroad who would like to have their grades recognised must see Rachel Lindner for all languages. Please bring with you the form for recognition of grades (Anrechnungsbogen), the original learning agreement and your transcript of records from the foreign university as well as any documentation that may have been a requirement of the learning agreement.

Please note: For learning agreements for International Business, please contact the Chair of International Business.

Weitere Informationen finden Sie hier.
