The objective of the IT project in 1999 was the production of an Internet-based 1:1-marketing draft for the wholesale area of a leading producer of slot machines. During the preceding years, the 21-person project team consisted of students of different economy-oriented and informatics-oriented fields. The need for the aforementioned marketing concept arose from the cooperation partner from a restructuring of one of his customers in the distribution area. In this "change", the possibilities of the Internet should be contained from customer view as a distribution medium, and a medium of information. Within the scope of the preliminary analysis it was found that the customer of the cooperation partner supported an Internet-based 1:1 Marketing draft. Potential main focuses were analyzed in the sphere of the transparence of the expiry organization and the flow of information.
